NO-GIRL
Real Name: Martha Johansson
First Appearance: New X-Men (Vol. 1) #118, November 2001
Powers: No-Girl was reduced to a living brain after her mutant power of telepathy manifested itself. Martha was captured by the human supremacist group, the U-Men, who removed her brain from her body, keeping her disembodied brain alive in a capsule (although she apparently still requires occasional injections of nutrients).
Martha can telepathically perceive her environment, simulating vision and hearing to some degree. She can also communicate telepathically by projecting and receiving thoughts from others. Her mental powers allow her to stun opponents, create illusions, and temporarily overwhelm and possess the bodies of other people. No-Girl also has the unique ability to produce psycho-chaff, an invisible expulsion of disruptive psionic particles that neutralize mutant abilities and inhibit higher brains functions in others, rendering them virtually helpless.
