GRAVITY

GRAVITY

Real Name: Gregory Willis
First Appearance: Gravity (Vol. 1) #1, August 2005

Powers: Greg Willis was a college student who had a freak encounter with a miniature black hole singularity. This created a gravitational nexus within his body which he can manipulate for different effects.

He is able to fly, augment his strength with applied anti-gravitons to lift objects and directed G-forces to magnify the force of his punches, and generate gravitonic shields as a near-skintight aura around his skin, enabling him to withstand physical harm. He can expand this aura, causing it to encompass space near him in an impenetrable bubble of gravity, protecting other people and objects in his close proximity. By casting his gravity field outwards, he can create force blasts, protective or containing force fields a distance away from his person, form bands of energy around his opponents' hands to restrain them, or anti-gravity tractor beams which can levitate and guide multiple tons of matter in order to pull objects along behind him on an energy tether or yank asteroids out of near orbit down on top of his opponents. Gravity can also form gravity wells, funnels of gravitational pull which can make objects "fall" in any direction he chooses. This can be used to boost his flight speed or launch people over the horizon at terminal velocity. Once, he even generated enough gravitational force to hold an entire planet together as it was breaking apart.
