Powers: Barnacle's mutant power secretes a chemical agent that converts moisture into a solid, crusty substance. This chemical oozes through his pores, causing the moisture on his skin to harden into plates of shell-like carapace, acting like pieces of body armor to protect him from some degree of physical harm. He can perform the same hardening effect on other people, causing the shell material to grow out from where he touches them, forming over his opponent's joints to immobilize areas of their body and even asphyxiating them if it forms over their chest or throat to keep them from breathing properly. He can also expel the chemical agent through the air, hardening moisture in the atmosphere to create a battering spray of matter over a distance.
