HULK 2099

HULK 2099

Real Name: John Eisenhart
First Appearance: 2099 Unlimited (Vol. 1) #1, July 1993

Powers: John Eisenhart became Hulk 2099 after exposure to a massive dose of gamma radiation that was unleashed on him by the experiments made by the Knights of the Banner, a male survivalist group who worshiped the natural freedom epitomized by the original Hulk. Eisenhart became a massive green behemoth, roughly resembling Banner's form but with enlarged spines on his backbone and an elongated tongue. He possessed in excess of Superhuman Class 100 strength, tremendous stamina, the ability to leap several miles in height or distance, and was nearly impervious to all manner of physical harm. Like the original Hulk, his strength level and recuperative powers also increased with his rage. John could originally transform back and forth at will, maintaining his regular personality in either form but showing a different perspective on the world as John or as the Hulk. This perspective eventually developed into an outright personality shift during his transformation: Although he still retained all of his memories whether active as John or the Hulk, each side of his personality began vying for greater control over the body.
