FACE THIEF
Real Name: Kao-Goto Suru
First Appearance: Iron Man Annual (Vol. 1) #14, September 1993
Powers: The Face Thief is otherwise known as the Shinma demon Kao-Goto Suru. A magical being, his existence is not quite corporeal, making his physical appearance a bizarre and often asymmetrical one. The shifting patterns and proportions of his body can severely alter someone's depth perception. Even in his "normal" state, Kao-Goto Suru is stronger and more durable than a human being, with razor sharp claws and fangs that can shred into flesh. A being of many faces, he can also morph into a larger, more imposing body with dramatically greater strength and dozens of eyes mounted over a mouth that spews mystical flame or can extend a series of prehensile coils that restrain his prey, crushing them or drawing them into his jaws. He can perfectly mimic the shape of human beings by ripping off their faces, placing the discarded flesh over his own face to trigger the magical metamorphosis. How long he can maintain this altered state is unknown, but any damage done to his "human" face will force him to revert to his demonic state. He is also capable of teleporting himself at will, activating the spell by ripping off his own face and then vanishing.
