Powers: Murmur III was born with the mutant power to forge a psychic link with another person through physical contact, allowing her to subtly influence their thought processes or use spoken commands to take direct control over their actions and behavior.

Generally speaking, Murmur III relied on single word commands such as "sit", "sleep", or "attack" to direct people. In other examples, she has removed Flex's fear and hesitancy by saying "courage", or triggered Virgo's teleportation equipment by saying "Paris". Besides these short and forceful commands, Murmur III could also employ a more subtle hyper-persuasive ability, making people considerably more willing to believe what she says or agree with her suggestions so long as she maintains physical contact with them.

Murmur III could also use her powers on herself occasionally. For example, making herself feel brave when she was afraid. Also, her powers proved to be ineffective on fellow mental manipulators with stronger willpower, such as Mesmero.
