Powers: Using untapped radiations in the Savage Land, the mutant named Magneto built a machine and induced artificial mutations in several of the local indigenous people there into super-powered beings known as the Savage Land Mutates (Amphibius, Barbarus, Brainchild, Equilibrius, Gaza, Lupo, Piper, & Vertigo).

Vertigo's power produces waves of psionic energy which reach out into her surroundings to affect anyone she chooses. These waves upset the equilibrium of her opponents, making them nauseous, incapable of maintaining their balance, and often causing vomiting, disorientation, and loss of consciousness.
