Powers: Using untapped radiations in the Savage Land, the mutant named Magneto built a machine and induced artificial mutations in several of the local indigenous people there into super-powered beings known as the Savage Land Mutates (Amphibius, Barbarus, Brainchild, Equilibrius, Gaza, Lupo, and Piper).

Piper has the ability to assume psionic control over a wide variety of animals. A skilled musician, he uses the melodies he plays on his pipe as a focus for his ability. He maintains control of the animals until he ceases playing his music or if the animals distance themselves from his power's range.
