First Appearance: The Uncanny X-Men (Vol. 1) #62, November 1969
Powers: Using untapped radiations in the Savage Land, the mutant named Magneto built a machine and induced artificial mutations in several of the local indigenous people there into super-powered beings known as the Savage Land Mutates (Amphibius, Barbarus, Brainchild, Equilibrius, Gaza, Lupo, and Piper).
Gaza is superhumanly strong and quite tall, standing over 7' tall. Though blind, he possesses a psionic "radar sense" which maps out his surrounding environment in 360° degrees.
