First Appearance: The Uncanny X-Men (Vol. 1) #62, November 1969
Powers: Using untapped radiations in the Savage Land, the mutant named Magneto built a machine and induced artificial mutations in several of the local indigenous people there into super-powered beings known as the Savage Land Mutates (Amphibius, Barbarus, Brainchild, Equilibrius, Gaza, Lupo, and Piper).
Barbarus’ powers are superhuman stamina, resistance to injury, and strength due to his two additional appendages and related enhanced musculature. He can lift up to 50 tons.
