DIAMOND LIL

DIAMOND LIL

Real Name: Lillian Crawley
First Appearance: Alpha Flight (Vol. 1) #11, June 1984

Powers: Diamond Lil’s mutant power constantly saturated her body’s molecular structure with an invisible bio-aura of reinforcing energy, rendering her virtually invulnerable to all forms of physical impact or assault, temperature extremes, or energy based attacks. However, her physical invulnerability deadens her ability to derive tactile sensations. Her hands and nails are similarly durable, even after being removed from her body, such as when she plucks a strand of her hair to use as a garrote. She couldn’t lift superhuman levels of weight, but she could smash objects a normal person can't, and support weights without her body buckling underneath.

Lillian Crawley is skilled in numerous street-fighting techniques.

JEB GUTHRIE

JEB GUTHRIE

Real Name: Jebediah Guthrie
First Appearance: ROM Annual (Vol. 1) #3, November 1984

Powers: Jeb Guthrie was born with the mutant ability to generate high-intensity plasma energy in his optic nerves and focus it as devastating blasts from his eyes.

LILA CHENEY

LILA CHENEY

Real Name: Lila Cheney
First Appearance: The New Mutants Annual (Vol. 1) #1, November 1984

Powers: Lila Cheney was born with the mutant power to generate a transmutation effect for intergalactic teleportation. Lila apparently converts matter into tachyon (faster-than-light) particles and then provides them a direction to travel in. Because her power, once activated, will already have carried her hundreds of thousands of miles in distance before she can will it to stop, Lila's power is only useful for extremely long distance travel. In order to move from one place to another on a planet, she must first teleport to some distant planet or locale (her Dyson sphere) and then bounce back on a second jump. Lila is capable of carrying nearby people and objects with her as she teleports, and apparently does this through a general radius effect rather than pinpoint specific targets to transport, since people have accidentally walked into her teleportation effect before, being transported without her intending to take them.

Lila Cheney is an expert thief and also a talented self-taught musician highly skilled in performing guitar-driven rock and is talented in singing as well.

FLASHBACK

FLASHBACK

Real Name: Gardner Monroe
First Appearance: Alpha Flight (Vol. 1) #11, June 1984

Powers: Flashback’s mutant power is the ability to psionically summon what he calls "future-selves", versions of himself from various random instances in the future (ranging anywhere from seconds to years from now). His power reaches into the future to pull his body into the present. He cannot converse with his future-selves or learn anything about the future from them. They are mindless automatons with the present-day Flashback's consciousness imprinted over theirs, essentially acting as extensions of his will. He can manifest his future selves anywhere within his line-of-sight, even in mid-air.

While in costume, Flashback tends to materialize future-selves wearing a version of his own costume with a negative polarity on the color scheme, however the reason for this remains unexplained. When the future-selves are no longer needed, Flashback causes them to de-materialize on the spot, and they apparently return to the future at the exact moment when he summoned them.

LEECH

LEECH

Real Name: Unknown
First Appearance: The Uncanny X-Men (Vol. 1) #179, March 1984

Powers: Leech’s mutant power is the ability to generate an invisible field of psionic energy, with a maximum range of approximately 30 feet from him, that obstructs the neural pathways in the brains of superhumans. This obstruction affects the area of the brain governing superhuman abilities, negating their abilities so long as Leech is in their immediate proximity.

Through time and training with X-Factor, Leech learned how to control and retract his dampening field so that superhumans could use their abilities around him. For example, he could control his power to the point where Marvel Girl could carry him while flying telekinetically without losing her powers. He also learned how to expand his field in specific directions to target selected individuals in range without neutralizing everyone nearby. Because of circumstances, Leech's power dampening field was used most often against other mutants. Consciously activated mutant abilities would not activate in his presence, and autonomic mutations would cease functioning as well: Iceman could not generate or change into ice, the shape-changing Ape would spontaneously revert back to his normal form, Tar Baby's sticky skin stopped sticking, etc.

Leech
occasionally has shown he can use his powers to neutralize non-mutant abilities as well, such as Hazmat's toxicity. He even neutralized the powers of the shape-shifting Xartan carbon copy men, implying his power can read a general sense of what the baseline genealogy is for any species, then revert individuals back to that baseline, human or otherwise.

TITANIA

TITANIA

Real Name: Mary MacPherran
First Appearance: Marvel Super Heroes Secret Wars (Vol. 1) #3, July 1984

Powers: Mary “Skeeter” MacPherran was subjected to various cellular radiation treatments which left her slight frame augmented by several hundred pounds of muscle, giving her superhuman strength (class 90). She also possesses superhuman endurance and resistance to harm. She can exert her full strength for over an hour before fatigue impairs her performance. She can resist penetration wounds from conventional ballistic weapons and temperature extremes (2,500° Fahrenheit to -180° Fahrenheit). Her rate of healing is over twice that of human being and she is immune to most terrestrial diseases.

She wore sonic field enhancers as gloves that increased her strength by a factor of 10. When she wore the Power Gem, her physical might was limitless, but her bond with the gem depended on her obsessive devotion to a single goal: Destroying the She-Hulk.

Titania is an experienced, vicious, and often treacherous unarmed combatant. She is also emotionally unstable, suffering from obsessive tendencies, misplaced aggression, a persecution complex, and a crippling inferiority complex that alternates with occasional delusions of grandeur.

BOGEYMAN

BOGEYMAN

Real Name: Douglas M. Carmody
First Appearance: Power Pack (Vol. 1) #2, September 1984

Powers: Douglas Carmody was a mutant-hating businessman who initially utilized a surplus battlesuit which was later replaced with a more powerful battlesuit from the anti-mutant organization known as the Right. His battlesuits had flight capabilities, and he carried a tranquilizer dart gun and "power-canceling envelopes" to hold captives. He also employed robotic cartoon animals as guards in his base.

He was later transported to the demon-filled Limbo where the demon N'astirh devoured Carmody's humanity, transforming him into a glutinous demon. When his physical form was destroyed, he survived as a shadow. In shadow form, the Bogeyman could possess people and generate shadowy tendrils. He was vulnerable to flame and was glutinous as a demon, able to flow like liquid through small spaces, or grow and distend at will. He was superhumanly strong and could form lethal claws.
