Real Name: Shard Bishop

Powers: Shard was born with the mutant power to draw upon ambient light and convert it into amplified blasts of concussive force from her hands. Upon her death, Shard's mind was transferred into a holographic matrix, allowing her to live on in part through an interactive imaging system. As a hologram, Shard was tied to the emitter bracelet that Bishop and later members of X-Factor wore, able to manifest herself only within a few dozen feet radius of it. She could be intangible or exist as a hard-light projection to interact with her surroundings. Because she could instantaneously relocate herself anywhere within the bracelet's projection radius, Shard also possessed limited line-of-sight teleportation powers.

After Bastion and Humanity's Last Stand disrupted her matrix, Shard became an independent entity, a photonic lifeform not tied to the bracelet or anything else. In this state, she no longer possessed her "teleporting" power, but she could still become intangible as necessary. Shard was now a self-sustaining hologram, feeding off of ambient photons to constantly replenish the light energy supporting her physical/mnemonic matrix. Furthermore, she could now gather and discharge the light energy she was formed of as photonic blasts, approximating her original mutant powers. Shard couldn't release too much energy at once, though, without risking her discorporation as she depleted the light energy resources holding her together. Just before her demise, Shard was reverted back to a human form when the Chronomancer reversed her personal timeline.

Shard is from Earth-1191 in an alternate future timeline roughly 100 years from now. In her timeline, she was a member of the X.S.E. (Xavier Security Enforcers), a mutant law enforcement agency inspired by the X-Men. As a trained police officer skilled in tracking, she had many years of armed/unarmed combat training and was a superb markswoman.

Powers: A native on Earth-1191 in an alternate future roughly 100 years from now, Styglut was a mutant with energy conversion powers. He possessed the ability to drain the life energy of others upon physical contact and store it within his body cells. His body would then metabolize the life energy, processing it into a form of bio-electricity. He could then discharge this bio-electricity as bolts from his hands, or a radiant discharge in all directions.

Powers: Bantam is a mutant whose physical mutation has granted him a short misshapen green-skinned appearance. His mutant power has been described as anything from "trans-temporal awareness" to being a "chronal anchor", but it remains unclear what either of those actually mean.

Presumably, he is sensitive to the biological energy emissions of other superhumans, allowing him to locate the site where the energy was released and catalogue its presence from then on.

It has been mentioned that him tethering his power to that of Trevor Fitzroy allowed the latter to maintain greater accuracy for his portal-jumps through time in addition to space. Bantam's powers also allowed him to catalogue these various portals, mentally keeping track of which ones remained and where they opened to.

Real Name: Haroun ibn Sallah al-Rashid

First Appearance: The New Mutants (Vol. 1) #16, June 1984

Powers: Jetstream was born with the mutant ability to bodily generate thermo-chemical energy and release it through his skin. He could release the energy downward as a propulsive effect that enabled him to fly at subsonic speeds while maintaining a high degree of maneuverability. He was not immune to the harmful effects of his powers like most mutants and accidentally set himself on fire as he flew. He underwent extensive cybernetic surgery, including virtually replacing his entire lower body with bionic components. He then focused his flight power through a retractable bionic rocket pack and had an array of navigational components and software in his brain that increased his maneuverability in the air. This enabled him to negotiate building hallways at top speed, dodge projectiles, weave through elaborate obstacle courses, etc.

Real Name: Jennifer Stavros

First Appearance: The New Mutants (Vol. 1) #16, June 1984

Powers: Roulette possesses the mutant ability to manipulate the probability fields surrounding people or objects.

She can demonstrate her power through physical contact or by generating discs of solidified psionic energy. The discs contain two different colorations: Red discs for “good luck” and black discs for “bad luck”. The discs burst upon impact and cause a sudden flux in probabilities to occur around whatever target they strike. It was presumed that Roulette could generate a “good luck” effect around herself, thereby enhancing probabilities for her own sake.

Striking with black disks would cause varying effects, such as causing her opponents to slip up or temporarily lose their powers, make floors or objects collapse or burst into flames, cause mechanical failures, and so on. Her red disks were used more rarely, but in one instance she used a black disk to short out Speedball's power, and a red disk to reactivate it an uncontrollably high level. Also, by touching Cypher during a poker game, she altered his odds so that he couldn't help but win each hand (though his mutant linguistics power may have played a part in his success as well).

Real Name: Lucas Bishop

Powers: Bishop has the mutant ability to absorb various forms of energy on contact. Once internalized, the energy is normally metabolized into his personal reserves. Energy stored there boosts his natural physical vitality, amplifying his strength, endurance, and reaction time. Despite his enhanced physical build, Bishop's energized strength level easily exceeds a few thousand pounds when fully charged. Physical exertion depletes his additional energy, and he can also release his reserves into bio-concussive blasts generated from his hands. He also occasionally employs plasma rifles which have special conductive grips allowing him to focus his energy into the guns as a power source, using up less energy than his blasts do.

In his early appearances, Bishop demonstrated the power to redirect energy in the same state he had absorbed it. He could, for instance, absorb Storm's lightning and then fire electrical blasts of his own. Bishop was apparently capable of using his personal reserves as raw fuel to feed any energy he was redirecting. In the above situation, this meant he could fire multiple electrical blasts, far more energy than the single lightning bolt he was struck with, by tapping into energies he had previously stored to continue recharging the electrical energy for his use.

He can absorb most kinds of energy, including kinetic, electromagnetic, and psionic. His system works best with active and directed energy signatures, like bio-blasts, laser guns, or electrical power lines. From ambient radiation, sunlight, and static electricity he picks up little to any charge from those sort of passive energies. He also cannot fully overcome solid-based kinetic assaults. Pure kinetic energy blasts or concussive explosions he can adjust to. He can absorb some of the kinetic energy from projectile assaults like bullets or crossbow bolts, but not enough to prevent them from penetrating his flesh. He's also still vulnerable to blunt force trauma or pressure based attacks. He also had a bionic right arm which amplifies his strength, contains retractable wire-guided pincers, and enables time-travel.

Bishop hails from Earth-1191 in an alternate future timeline roughly 100 years from now. In his timeline, he was a member of the X.S.E. (Xavier Security Enforcers), a mutant law enforcement agency inspired by the X-Men. A trained police officer skilled in homicidal investigations, he has many years of armed/unarmed combat training and is a superb marksman.

Real Name: Trevor Fitzroy

First Appearance: The Uncanny X-Men (Vol. 1) #281, October 1991

Powers: Fitzroy possesses the mutant power to absorb life-energy from another person upon physical contact and convert it into temporal energy that can be used in a variety of ways. In his first appearances, Fitzroy was shown capable of draining a person totally of life-energy, a process which rendered them quite dead. He then converted this energy in order to create one-directional portals that connected two distant points in time and space. The flow of these portals was very specific: One end was the entrance, the other was the exit. If anyone tried to enter the exit-portal, their atoms would be scattered across the space-time continuum. Fitzroy could create an entrance-portal in front of him for a quick getaway to anywhere or time he could imagine, or do the reverse and cause an entrance-portal to manifest somewhere in space/time, allowing people or objects to come through an exit-portal near him. In all cases, it seems it was necessary for him to manifest one end of the tunnel within his immediate proximity.

Additionally, Fitzroy seemed capable of maintaining these portals indefinitely, they only needed to be powered up in order to open, not to remain open. His base of operations in his first appearances was apparently littered with portals he was keeping around for strategic means. There also seemed to be some sort of energy/mass factor for his portals: A certain amount of energy was required to allow a certain amount of mass to travel through them. If too much mass attempted to traverse a portal, such as if two people attempted to travel through a portal designed for only one person, their molecules could become fused and grossly distorted. Fitzroy originally believed his mutant power to be teleportation, until he absorbed enough life-energy to create a portal (which allowed passage through time, not just space partly due to the trans-temporal mutant anchor known as Bantam) where the time difference became more apparent.

He later expanded his power levels exponentially, and could possibly be considered Omega-level because of this. As the Chronomancer, Fitzroy learned how to manipulate chronal energy for feats other than portal creation. He could now freeze time around a moving object, holding it immobilized in midair and mid-motion until he let it free. Chronomancer could also accelerate the passage of time on a person or object, causing them to age past the point of decay and reduce them to dust. He even was capable of reversing the personal temporal characteristics of Shard, beginning a transformation that would have reverted her from a photonic lifeform back into a being of flesh and blood.

Fitzroy often employed a suit of crystallized omnium-mesh power armor when going into combat. This suit amplified his strength considerably, and protected him from physical assaults while refracting energy bursts to avoid damage from them. It could also turn him invisible for periods of time, and some versions of the armor included razor sharp nails on the gauntlets' fingers.

SHINOBI SHAW

Real Name: Shinobi Shaw

First Appearance: X-Factor (Vol. 1) #67, June 1991

Powers: Shinobi Shaw's mutant ability is to manipulate and control his own molecular density. He is able to make his body become intangible or diamond-hard at will. This effect seems to be energy based, as he tends to produce a signature glow whenever a portion of his body contacts something while in his phased state. If so, his high-density form is probably reinforced not with additional mass but with solid energy, similar to the constructs made by Quasar or others.

Shinobi is able to move through walls and avoid injury while intangible, and he can also interrupt the internal structure of living beings by passing his hands into their bodies, disrupting their molecules to cause intense sensations of pain. He claims to be capable of inter-phasing, reaching into someone's body and pulling their heart intangibly through their chest.

SEBASTIAN SHAW

Real Name: Sebastian Hiram Shaw

First Appearance: The Uncanny X-Men (Vol. 1) #129, January 1980

Powers: Sebastian Shaw is a mutant with the power to absorb energy, converting it into physical power. His system is primarily designed to absorb kinetic force, but he has also absorbed lightning or mystical energy in the past. His body absorbs the brunt of any impact, protecting him from any harmful effects while processing the energy to increase his strength and endurance to superhuman levels. This process functionally gives him a superhuman resistance to injury as well. Shaw can be overloaded by excess energy at once, forcing him to pass out. It is unclear exactly how Shaw loses the increased strength level he gains, since most cases of him applying his super-strength would involve creating impact for him to absorb as well. Possibly, it just depletes over time from disuse.

Sebastian Shaw was the Black King of the Hellfire Club's Inner Circle and earned a bachelor of science degree in engineering from the Stevens Institute of Technology. He possesses vast knowledge of technology and economics and is also possessed of a keen business acumen. As the founder, CEO, and primary shareholder of Shaw Industries, Inc., he is a billionaire industrialist who has developed his company into a multinational corporation heavily involved in defense contracts and munitions productions. He is also an experienced iron worker.
