EL GUAPO

EL GUAPO

Real Name: Robbie Rodriguez
First Appearance: X-Statix (Vol. 1) #9, May 2003

Powers: El Guapo was a mutant of unknown classification. He manifested all of his abilities through the manipulation of his skateboard. El Guapo could perform elaborate tricks and stunts on the board and make it fly around under his command at 30 miles per hour, either as a missile or as transportation for himself and others. However, he treated the board as if it was sentient, indicating that he is a mutant with psychological delusions projected onto the board.

Robbie Rodriguez was also an experienced actor and talented skateboarder.

SHARON GINSBURG

SHARON GINSBERG

Real Name: Sharon Ginsberg
First Appearance: X-Statix (Vol. 1) #2, October 2002

Powers: Sharon Ginsberg's mutation grants her superhumanly sharp fingernails and toenail that can rend bones and cartilage, and her entire anatomy is adapted for flight: She has porous, highly flexible bones, muscle mass proportionately greater than a similarly sized person, enabling her to lift over 500 pounds. She had leathery bat-like wings that spanned approximately 15' and allowed flight at least up to 70 miles per hour (though her top speed and altitude are unrevealed). Her wings could also be folded in and hidden from view.

Ginsberg is a skilled attorney with a Juris Doctorate, but her wings' removal left her psychologically unhinged; she continues to feel nonexistent "phantom wings".

VENUS DEE MILO

VENUS DEE MILO

Real Name: Dee Milo
First Appearance: X-Statix (Vol. 1) #1, September 2002

Powers: Venus Dee Milo's mutant manifestation converted her into a state of living energy, which she could manipulate to project concussive force blasts from her hands, produce a healing effect on contact which helps accelerate regenerative factors in the human body, and initiate teleportation warps, transporting herself instantly over thousands of miles. By expanding the warp signature effect out from her body, Venus is capable of teleporting other nearby people and objects along with her.

Her costume doubled as a containment suit which molded her energy into a semi-humanoid form. While in the costume, portions of Venus' energy were compressed into "organs" that were nearly solid and mimicked the features of a human body. She possessed sight, hearing, and a sense of touch inside her suit, and possibly her other senses as well. Periodically, Venus would have to leave her protective suit and enter a specialized tank that contained cleansing compounds for her molecules. If she did not periodically enter the tank, her energy form was exposed to intense pressure. If knocked unconscious, Venus' body generated microscopic versions of herself to act as antibodies and protect her body from internal attacks.

U-GO GIRL

U-GO GIRL

Real Name: Edith Constance Sawyer
First Appearance: X-Force (Vol. 1) #116, July 2001

Powers: U-Go-Girl is a narcoleptic teleporter. Her mutant powers include a pale blue skin pigmentation and the ability to generate a space-warp effect, allowing her to transport herself and other people and objects instantaneously over vast distances. Using her power had a side effect of stimulating the sleep center of her brain, meaning she can become drowsy or drift off into a deep sleep after excessive use of her power. Apparently, the amount of mass she transports, the distance she travels, and the number of jumps she makes within a given period of time all contributed to how intense her sleeping spells come on.

ZEITGEIST

ZEITGEIST

Real Name: Axel Cluney
First Appearance: X-Force (Vol. 1) #116, July 2001

Powers: Zeitgeist was born with the mutant ability to generate large amounts of gelatinous, energized bio-plasma from within his throat cavity and expel it through his mouth.

This "gunk" is as corrosive as acid and highly volatile, capable of dissolving and eating through solid matter. It can also cause explosive releases of force if even slightly stimulated. He had difficulty controlling the release of his mutant power and constantly wore a face-mask over his mouth.

SMOKE

SMOKE

Real Name: Unrevealed
First Appearance: X-Force (Vol. 1) #119, October 2001

Powers: Smoke’s mutant power left his body comprised of a tangible smoke-like substance with superhuman strength, the ability to levitate and reconstitute his body from separated pieces, and emit billowing clouds of smoke to hide his exact location.

SAINT ANNA

SAINT ANNA

Real Name: Anna
First Appearance: X-Force (Vol. 1) #117, August 2001

Powers: Saint Anna was a mutant with varied psychic powers that were never fully charted before her death. She demonstrated telekinetic powers (levitating herself and other objects, projecting bolts of psychic force, etc), as well as empathic healing powers which could regenerate dead or lost tissue on the bodies of others, and heighten their emotional states to bring feelings of hope and joy to the surface.

She also somehow sustained her spirit for a period of time after her death, psychometrically imprinting her essence onto a cloud of soot and residing in Mr. Sensitive’s body until he went to see her father, at which point she reached out to him and gave an empathic farewell.

PHAT

PHAT

Real Name: William Robert Reilly
First Appearance: X-Force (Vol. 1) #117, August 2001

Powers: Phat had the mutant ability to expand and manipulate the fatty, subcutaneous tissue of his body. Any area of his body affected by his power would bloat up to enormous size and developed considerable pliability that made it highly resistant to damage or injury of any kind. This bloating could also stretch out the reach of his arms or legs to a certain extent, making his entire body larger and more formidable, and increase his physical strength.

LACUNA

LACUNA

Real Name: Woodstock Schumaker
First Appearance: X-Force (Vol. 1) #121, December 2001

Powers: Lacuna possesses the mutant power to manipulate the manner in which she perceives the passage of time. This allows her to create a temporary ripple in the timestream that places her out of sync with the regular flow of time. In effect, she can slip in-between the fabric of reality and move about freely within a nano-second time period while everything else remains frozen.

By moving around and interacting with her environment while under this time-warp effect, Lacuna can perform a number of feats. She can make other people perceive it as if she appears, disappears, or relocates instantly. She can also move objects around, rearrange clothing, or make any number of changes to the surroundings without people noticing until it's done and she disables the effect.

SPIKE

SPIKE

Real Name: Darian Elliott
First Appearance: X-Force (Vol. 1) #121, December 2001

Powers: The Spike’s mutant power was to rapidly generate a seemingly endless supply of straight spines of calcified bones from anywhere on his body. These spines can be short, like covering his body in thorns, or extended out from his body at over two feet in length a piece.

The Spike could also fire off his spines as fast-flying projectiles from his hands or elsewhere on his person at high speeds and with great accuracy. With sufficient speed, his spikes could pierce armored suits and done metal plating.

SLUK

SLUK

Real Name: Byron Spencer
First Appearance: X-Force (Vol. 1) #116, July 2001

Powers: Sluk is a mutant with a bizarre mutation consisting of orange skin and a hairless head composed largely of animated tentacles he calls "face-things". These tentacles are able to stretch at least two or three times their normal length, and grapple with his victims at close range to tear at their skin or smother them.

MR. SENSITIVE

MR. SENSITIVE

Real Name: Guy Smith
First Appearance: X-Force (Vol. 1) #117, August 2001

Powers: Born with white hair, purple skin, and antennae, Guy Smith (alias “The Orphan”) developed his major mutant power during puberty: Overstimulated sensory reception.

He possessed hyper-developed sensory abilities, including sight, hearing, smell, taste, and touch. He had incredibly acute and nearly telescopic vision, which extends slightly into the infrared and ultraviolet ranges of light to give him increased night vision. He could, to some degree, pinpoint and isolate distant sounds, eavesdropping on conversations on the opposite end of a thick wall, detecting someone by their heart beat or muffled footfalls, and also sense certain sub- or super-sonic ranges of audio, enabling him to register the presence of ultrasonic frequencies or vibrations being transmitted between hidden machinery, the distant whine of a falling missile, etc. His sense of touch was sensitive enough to sense people and objects moving around him based on the subtle changes in temperature and airflow their passage creates. He could also count the number of bullets in a gun's chamber by the weight of the barrel. Apparently, his antennae aided his sense of touch. He used his sense of taste to determine the contents and quantity of ingredients in anything he eats.

He also seemed to have some level of heightened physical abilities, including strength, speed, agility, and reflexes. He developed self-levitation power as well, enabling him to hover in place or rise straight up a few stories. His mutant power augmented his senses to a physically debilitating level, forcing him to wear a special exoskeleton designed by Charles Xavier to function normally.

Guy Smith was a world class acrobat who mastered several forms of martial arts, including Tukong, Moosul, and Jeet Kune Do.

DOOP

DOOP

Real Name: Doop
First Appearance: X-Force (Vol. 1) #116, July 2001

Powers: Doop is an artificial being created during the Cold War. He mostly resembles a floating lima bean with a face and arms. Doop has a redundant hind brain and his mouth opens up into a dimensional storage pocket, allowing him to "swallow" objects of various sizes and dimensions and then retrieve them at a later date. Despite his unassuming appearance, Doop seems to be superhumanly strong and resistant to injury to some unknown degree. He also possesses a healing factor.

Doop exists in a unique temporal zone, allowing him to move about in-between the seconds of linear time, and making him immune to various forms of temporal manipulation. Doop's body has been manipulated in the past in order to discharge tremendously powerful blasts of energy from his brain, but whether he can access this energy himself is unknown.

WASHOUT

WASHOUT

Real Name: John Lopez
First Appearance: X-Force (Vol. 1) #129, August 2002

Powers: Washout was born with the mutant power to generate spurts of a watery liquid substance on physical contact. The full nature of that aspect of his powers wasn't explored, so why exactly he was originally a tactile-activated water generator wasn’t clarified. He seemed capable of producing enough water to launch himself upwards on a pressurized fountain of liquid.

After being altered by the Weapon X Program, Washout became a full-fledged hydromorph. His mutant power now enabled him to bodily transform himself, in whole or in part, into water. While in this state, his consciousness could control every droplet that comprised his body. Thus he could will himself to turn liquid whenever struck. Presumably, if he were to will just his torso liquid, his still-solid head and arms would fall to the ground. It is not known if this would cause injury to his solid parts or not. Washout could also propel the liquid particles of his body at great pressure like water shooting through a firehose. It is not known how he generated the pressure to create this effect.

Apparently, Washout’s liquid particles each possessed some form of attraction for one another so that his disintegrated consciousness could draw all of the particles back into cohesion after total dispersal. It is not known if there was a limit to the particles' ability to attract one another. Nor is it known if there was a limit to how long Washout could remain in a completely aqueous state. He could merge his watery molecular structure with ordinary water, and use it to increase his mass.

By converting into liquid, he was unaffected by physical assaults, and could reshape himself into different forms. Manipulating the surface tension of his watery state allowed him to touch and strike out at objects as if he were solid. He could expand his hand into a giant fist of water, turn it into a razor sharp blade, or produce a high pressure blast of water strong enough to knock a man off his feet, or sustain the liquid around them in order to drown his opponent.

Apparently, he had no difficulty reforming his solid physical state, even while fully immersed in water. Washout could also mentally manipulate outside sources of water, willing people to die by upsetting the balance of liquids in their body so that they ruptured and exploded from the inside out.

Washout’s consciousness either resided in each of the billions of droplets that his body becomes, or existed in an intangible perhaps gas-like state. Since he could convert his entire head into water, and his brain was still capable of rational motivated thought, his brain could no longer have been organic. It is probably that even in its solid state when it appeared to be made of flesh, tissue, and bone; he was no longer truly organic, it is not known if he needed to eat, sleep, or eliminate waste products anymore.

GIN GENIE

GIN GENIE

Real Name: Beckah Parker
First Appearance: X-Force (Vol. 1) #116, July 2001

Powers: The Gin Genie had the mutant ability to generate vibratory waves from her hands, allowing her to shake, shatter, or crumble targets she focuses on, and direct her power at the ground beneath her feet to cause earthquakes or seismic upheavals. However, her power was directly proportionate to her current blood alcohol content: Being severely intoxicated increased her power levels.

VIVISECTOR

VIVISECTOR

Real Name: Myles Lee Alfred
First Appearance: X-Force (Vol. 1) #117, August 2001

Powers: Vivisector was a lycanthrope, born with the mutant power to transmorph into a humanoid-wolf hybrid state at will. In his wolf state, he had enhanced strength, durability, and coarse brown fur, razor sharp claws & teeth. His speed, agility, endurance, reflexes, senses, and regenerative capabilities were also heightened in his wolfen form.

Additionally, his transformation into his wolfen form didn’t appear to completely heighten his senses as he still wore prescription glasses and retained his his human intelligence.

ANARCHIST

ANARCHIST

Real Name: Tike Alicar
First Appearance: X-Force (Vol. 1) #116, July 2001

Powers: The Anarchist possesses the mutant ability to produce sweat from his pores that, upon exposure to the atmosphere, converts into a substance that acts similarly to a molecular acid, eating through most forms of matter. He has a certain degree of control over his sweat, as he could touch people without burning them, and is able to use the sweat on a pair of dice he touches to control how they rolled. The acid he produces also converts to energy, and can be released as devastating blasts of burning, exploding force from his hands.

To conceal the fact that he needs prescription glasses, Tike wears a special visor as part of his costume. He is also afflicted with obsessive-compulsive disorder which was exacerbated by his mutant power manifestation.
