TEMPUS

TEMPUS

Real Name: Eva Bell
First Appearance: All-New X-Men (Vol. 1) #1, January 2013

Powers: Tempus has temporal manipulation powers. Her mutant power can generate a time stasis field, relativistically freezing the flow of time within a given area. All people and objects are held immobilized within the field. Her power originally radiated out from her person, influencing her environment in all directions. With practice, she has learned to make specific people inside the field immune to the effect, allowing her and her allies to move about freely, or cast the field remotely over people and objects. She is also capable of traveling through time and space. She can perform simply time skipping, casting herself or another person a few seconds or minutes into the future to avoid attacks or so forth. She can also travel up and down the timestream, moving millions of years in either temporal direction, although her accuracy with time jumps still requires practice. She can also accelerate time to cause rapid aging.

HIJACK

HIJACK

Real Name: David Bond
First Appearance: The Uncanny X-Men (Vol. 3) #6, July 2013

Powers: Hijack is a technopath, possessing the mutant power to mentally seize control over different forms of technology. He primarily has used his ability against vehicles, anything from a car on the street to a S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier. His power appears purely psionic and not based on digital "hacking", so S.H.I.E.L.D. defensive protocols, firewalls, and so forth were not a barrier for his power. Hijack could also command other forms of technology like powered armors or computer systems.

SNOT

SNOT

Real Name: Unrevealed
First Appearance: Wolverine & The X-Men (Vol. 1) #31, August 2013

Powers: Snot’s mutant power is a superhuman nasal cavity that contains mucus of exotic properties. The only outward sign of his mutation is that his nose is now a semi-pronounced snout with superhuman nasal bones, cartilages (including the septal cartilage and the upper and lower lateral cartilages), and mucosa.

He can sneeze or snort in order to propel his mucus a much greater distance than any normal human. He also produces far more mucus than normal. Snot's mucus is abnormally elastic and adhesive. It can cling to his targets, restricting their movements and gluing them to the floor or anything else they touch. It absorbs force which, combined with its slippery and adhesive properties, makes it difficult to remove. A targeted snotball can block off orifices, potentially asphyxiating and killing an opponent.

After passing through the mystical portal of the Siege Perilous, Snot was reborn on Earth. He now seemed to have aged at least 10 years with a muscular physique and was much more proficient in the uses of his powers.

MORPH II

MORPH II

Real Name: Benjamin Deeds
First Appearance: All-New X-Men (Vol. 1) #3, February 2013

Powers: Benjamin Deeds' mutant ability consists of a complicated form of psychochemical passive camouflage. To clarify, active camouflage is when one can't be seen, but passive camouflage is when one seems like he/she belongs. Examples: Active camouflage would be anything from literally turning invisible to hiding under a tarp. Passive camouflage is when someone infiltrates a hospital by grabbing a lab coat and a clipboard as they walk around. Everyone can see them, but no one thinks anything of it because it doesn't seem out-of-place.

Morph II affects the brain, his own body, and his environment while his power is active. The most obvious aspect of his power is when his body changes to match the features of another person. On close inspection, however, Deeds doesn't mimic the person identically, like Mystique would. Instead, he adopts their more prominent physical features and characteristics (hair color, background, level of attractiveness). This creates a psychological level of comfort in his target, because they subconsciously find his presence familiar. If he moves through his environment without interacting with his target, they may never even acknowledge his presence. Not because he's invisible, but because they are automatically accepting of the fact that he's there.

In one-on-one interaction, Deeds can be very likeable and charming. He produces a psionic influence as well as psychochemical pheromones that bring his target closer to him. Although these aren't aggressive seductive pheromones, they do increase the comfort level of his target so they're more accepting of any lies he tells or requests he makes. In some way, his chemicals affect technology as well as people. He was able to enter into a S.H.I.E.L.D. field office, walk right up to Dum Dum Dugan, and hand him a note from Cyclops. Not only was he not stopped or questioned as he moved into high security areas, but the security cameras and surveillance system didn't register his presence either. Benjamin has recently begun pushing the limits of his powers to achieve true shape-changing, like posing as Andreas von Strucker, but his limits have not been completely established.

MUDBUG

MUDBUG

Real Name: Ledbetter (last name unrevealed)
First Appearance: Wolverine & The X-Men (Vol. 1) #20, January 2013

Powers: Mudbug's mutation grants him a crawfish-like physiology. His physical characteristics are a hybrid of both a human and a crawfish.

Though he stands upright and moves by his two legs, they now resemble those of a crawfish. He has retained his human shaped torso and arms, however the rest of his physiology is mutated, giving him the appearance of a bipedal crawfish. The majority of his body is covered with a hardened exoskeletal armor, including his head, limbs, and backside.

In addition to his bipedal limbs, Mudbug has four pairs of additional walking legs. They are used primarily for walking and gathering food. He has five pairs of swimmerets used in swimming. He has enhanced speed swimming in the water and the swimmerets allow him to catch food as well as to bear his own gills. He has additional arms as giant pincers able to exert vise-like pressure, along with a pair of normal human arms extending from his sides, which act as smaller supplementary limbs to his larger crawfish claws.

He has a carapace to protect his internal organs and gill, he has three maxillipeds which aid in oral food consumption, a soft underbelly and cephalothorax (which, respectively has a tail fan at the end of it, allowing him to steer as he swims and holds support for both his head and walking legs and functioning similarly to a human torso and neck).

He has acute senses of hearing, sight, taste, and smell due his superhuman attenule, attenae, and a stalked pair of eyes which allow him to detect fast movement and navigate in murky waters. Mudbug possesses a degree of augmented strength in his larger crawfish limbs and his external crustacean structure protects from harm to a certain extent.

ANIMAX

ANIMAX

Real Name: Blake Schiel
First Appearance: X-Men: Battle of the Atom (Vol. 1) #1, November 2013

Powers: Animax has the mutant power to extrapolate human DNA to create new genetic sequences, mutating baseline human physiognomy into wildly different and unexpected forms.

The standard human body is merely one possible outcome of the genetic material contained in its DNA. Different configurations, as well as the unused "junk DNA" stored in human cells from past or unexplored evolutionary outcomes, can potentially be made through combination and rearrangement.

Animax doesn't seem to actually create "lifeforms" -- rather, she applies a blueprint of genetic recoding onto unstable extra-dimensional proto-matter, conjuring her “monsters” out of thin air, and maintaining them only as long as she focuses on them. She doesn't manipulate genes, she merely summons an example of what a manipulated genetic sequence would look like.

Animax's monsters often resemble dragons or dinosaurs, possessing tremendous size, strength, and durability. Because her power is instinctive, Animax's monsters are likely a psychological expression of her own troubled and abused past. After counseling and training, it's possible she could conjure other genetically possible expressions of human DNA.

RADIANCE

RADIANCE

Real Name: Ryoko Sabuki
First Appearance: All-New Invaders (Vol. 1) #6, August 2014

Powers: Known as Radiance in America and Supreme Radiant Friend in Japan, Ryoko Sabuki inherited the energy manipulation powers of her grandmother, Golden Girl/Woman of the Kid Commandos and Invaders during World War II. While her late sister, Goldfire of the Penance Council, manifested heat/flame based abilities, Radiance's powers were a more advanced form of light manipulation closer to her grandmother's. As both a musician and a super-hero, she maintained a "light hearted" public persona similar to Jubilee or Dazzler. Her powers could create dazzling displays of light, used passively to blind or disorient opponents, or merely for entertainment and stage shows. However, Radiance could also use her powers in aggressive ways. She could project laser beams that cut through metal, stimulate molecular activity to induce burning or melting, and form hard light constructs. These could take the form of a tangible battering rams, defensive barriers, or other forms shaped by her mind. Radiance also can create holograms, insubstantial illusions or memories projected from her mind. She is also able to fly by riding currents of light through the air, and can lift other people and objects the same way.
